Broad Chain Sword live plants are native to Central and South America, and is easy to care for. Generally a hardy species suitable for both beginners and expert aquarists. Growth Rate Slow growth rate.  Broad Chain Swords are heavy root feeders and will enjoy a nutrient rich aquarium substrate for large growth. To slow growth in smaller aquariums, plant in a sand only substrate. New plants can be separated and replanted elsewhere in the aquarium. Lighting Moderate to high lighting requirements.
