Description
Golfball Coral (Goniopora spp. – Assorted)
Golfball Corals are stunning LPS coral species prized by Australian reef aquarists for their unique, round polyp clusters that resemble miniature golf balls. Available in assorted colours, these corals display shades of green, purple, pink, and brown, adding vibrant texture and movement to any reef tank. Known for their moderate care requirements, Golfball Corals are ideal for intermediate aquarists who want to introduce a distinctive, eye-catching species into their marine aquarium. With proper care, Goniopora corals can develop into dense colonies, creating a visually impressive focal point in your reef.

Fish Tank Compatibility
Golfball Corals are peaceful but should be given space from nearby corals due to their long tentacles, which can sting if in contact with other species. They are compatible with most reef-safe fish and invertebrates but avoid coral-nipping species such as some butterflyfish or angelfish.
Lighting Needs
These corals thrive under moderate LED or T5 reef lighting. Adequate lighting encourages polyp extension, vibrant colours, and healthy growth. Acclimate new specimens gradually to your aquarium lighting to prevent stress or bleaching.
Water Flow Requirements
Golfball Corals prefer moderate, indirect water flow that allows their polyps to sway naturally without being damaged. Proper circulation ensures nutrient delivery, waste removal, and optimal polyp health.
Tank Size & Placement
Golfball Corals are best suited for medium to large marine aquariums. Place them on stable rockwork or substrate with enough space to expand and form colonies. Maintaining stable water parameters and regular care will help your Goniopora coral thrive and maintain its vibrant appearance.
All our corals are sustainably collected or tank grown to ensure our reefs remain protected.
